Phosphene is an Edmonton-based landscape design consulting studio, founded in 2017. We help ambitious developers, municipalities, and private clients realize their outdoor vision — from residential gardens to large-scale commercial landscapes and public installations.

The projects we take on

Residential Design Custom gardens & landscape master plans. We source unique trees, perennials, specialty plants—each selected for the client's site and vision.
Commercial Outdoor Office parks, hotel grounds, retail courtyards. Large-scale plantings require reliable suppliers and professional volume ordering.
Event Installations Pop-up gardens, festival installations, seasonal displays. We need fast turnaround on specialty plant varieties, color palettes, seasonal stock.
Urban Greening Public installations & community planting projects. Native species, ornamental grasses, ground covers—sourced responsibly at scale.
Client Coordination On-site consultations with clients at our suppliers. We bring clients to tour the nursery, make selections together. We always have a team member present.

Minimum 24-hour ordering notice. We respect your picking & packing timelines. Seasonal projects are planned months ahead with confirmed stock requests.

Project-based POs on all invoices. Our contracts require PO numbers or job names. Every invoice is tagged to its project for audit and accounting. Your billing is never unclear.

Clear point-of-contact. Angus Gastle & Maria Gastle are the authorized purchasers. No revolving door of staff. You know who to talk to, and it's always the principals of the business.

Seasonal planning calls. We want to understand your inventory cycles. Spring surge? Summer maintenance demand? Fall plantings? We'll align our ordering to help you optimize stock rotation.
